ALISON KENYON  - Custom Interior wall art

Commissioning a mural or other permanent interior artwork is a true collaboration of vision, aesthetic, and essence.  My goal is to tell a story of the space and its inhabitants; make it feel like an extension of the people for whom it’s created.
And when I'm working with designers, I'm also focused on making them a rockstar in the eyes of their client; bringing repeat business, rave reviews, and referrals.

The process of commissioning each piece begins with a wonderful collaboration comprised of an extensive vision interview, color and mood boards, a shared Pinterest board, and 3 initial digital mock ups.  From these three, one is selected to develop and refine for final approval before beginning installation.

Want to deliver unforgettable WOW FACTOR with your mural reveal?
I can body paint one or more models (in lycra suits) to disappear into the mural, then pop out and blow everyone's mind!  Believe me, everyone will be talking about you for years after this.

This mural was created for a 16 year old girl who loves crystals and fantastical landscapes.
Swarovski crystals compose her birth sign constellation, and selected elements glow in UV light, while others glow in the dark!

This adorable jungle full of friendly animals was created for a Pediatric Dentist's Treatment Room.   The Dentist wanted to also include California's rolling hills full of oak trees, as well as our Sierra Foothills and hot air balloons.
Kids with good "report cards" love posing for a photo with their favorite animal from the mural!

This large scale mural is 33 feet long and 11 feet tall.  Created for a high school in Nevada City, CA that focuses on expeditionary learning, the school board wanted imagery that reflected adventure, nature, team work,  and the Sierra Foothills.
The school's colors are blue and green, their mascot is the wolf pack, and their motto is "We are crew, not passengers".
It was also important that their core values were included: integrity, advocacy, craftsmanship, collaboration, grit, and curiosity.
I wove these words into the wolves' fur pattern- the teens enjoy finding them all!
The mural is 90% finished in these photos.

This sweet little 6 foot by 6 foot mural was created for a new baby named Dahlia.
The baby's mother also had an affinity for pansies, and I added snowdrops and carnations because they are the flowers associated with the baby's birth month.

Custom wall art doesn't always mean "mural".
For their newly installed wall niche, this client wanted something reminiscent of faux finish marble, but in bold colors with gold leaf.
They were inspired by my painting of Venus, and wanted me to recreate that effect for their wall!
